Did you know that some of the flowers that you see are actually edible? You might notice many desserts and drinks contain petals in them. And don’t worry, they don’t taste like grass, but they actually have many different tastes.

Flowers have been used in cooking for decades and the trend never dies. Not all flowers are edible. But whichever flower can be eaten is surely delicious. Here are some recipes which are floral-enhanced. Before you start cooking, you must read these helpful tips.   • Know which flowers you want to use.
  • Grow the buds in your garden or buy them at a well-known eatable flower shop.
  • Most flower`s pollen can be allergic to the person eating the dish. So, do not use the pollen of the flower. Mainly people who have asthma problems should be kept away from the pollens of the flowers.
  • Make sure the flowers are fresh and blossomed on the same day. And if you have tasted some flowers before, get the right one for the dish you are planning to prepare.
  • Clean the petals before you add/cook them.

First, we will start off with some Lavender flowers to prepare a cold beverage.

Lavender Lemonade:-

Ingredients:

One tablespoon fresh lavender buds

  • One cup boiling water
  • Six cups fresh lemonade
  • Lemon slices
  • Stems of fresh lavender

Here`s how you can prepare it:-

  • Place the lavender buds in a large glass and add boiling water. Cover and let the mixture steep for about 5 minutes. Pour the mixture through a filter into a jug. And remember to discard the lavender buds.
  • Now, stir the lemonade into the mixture which we put in the jug. Cover it and let the drink chill several hours or overnight. To serve the lavender lemonade, pour lemonade mixture over ice cubes in cups. Garnish each with a lemon slice and fresh stem of lavender. And your delicious drink is ready.

Blueberry Lavender Cranberry Crisp Dessert:-

Ingredients:

For the filling:

  • Three cups blueberries

  • One cup cranberries

 

  • Half teaspoon lavender flowers

 

  • Three-fourth cup of sugar

 

For the topping:

  • Two cups crushed oatmeal graham crackers

 

  • Some brown sugar

 

  • Half cup of melted butter

 

  • Half cup of cut almonds

 

Here`s how you can prepare the dessert:-

  • Mix all the blueberries, cranberries, lavender flowers as well as sugar together in a container. Blend it well and empty into a baking pan.
  • Now combine the crushed crackers, melted butter, brown sugar and sliced almonds in a separate bowl. Crumble it over the top of the filling.3. The final step, bake it for 20 to 25 minutes until you notice the filling is bubbly.
